The Board of Elders met on December 1, 2007 at the Council of Oaks in Dardanelle, AR to adopt the Constitution, elect the first initial governing body and make a motion for the Governing Body to petition the Bureau of Indian Affairs for Federal Recognition. The Board was established by the Elders coming together. Any future vacancies will be appointed by the Board of Elders; all appointments are a life term. The responsibility of the Elders is to advise the Council.

The Board of Elders consists of:

Flossie Helton, Wayland Brown,Wayne Bartram, Marilyn Reeves, Leon Helton, Clifford Bartram, Louise Noel, Lillian Price, Alice Helton, Irene Posey, Geneva Ruth Tedder and Eula Mae Huffman.
